DOT Matrix POS Printers

Dot Matrix Printer

Dot Matrix Printer uses ribbons as the printing medium and use the needle to point the ink on the paper to create text or images. This type of printing has the advantage of the price of paper, which is cheaper than thermal paper because it uses ordinary pound paper or in the case that the user wants to make a short copy of every receipt, it can be done in this type of printer by using 2 or 3 layer chemical receipt paper depending on the type of work which when the needle is pressed onto the paper. The copy will be labeled as the original front like using a pen to press on a receipt paper with a copy in itself. The disadvantage is having to wait to change the ribbon when the ink has run out. The speed is less than that of thermal printing and the operation sound is not as quiet as thermal printers.
