Companion Mobile
Companion Mobile is the app-based version of the Companion fixture management, firmware upload and stand-alone programming tool. It is compatible with Martin NFC (Near Field Communication)-enabled fixtures, including MAC Viper XIP, MAC Aura Raven XIP, MAC Encore Two, ELP Manet 8F and many more fixtures planned for the future. This free app is available for iOS and Android mobile devices.
While similar to the popular Companion Desktop application, Companion Mobile utilizes NFC to establish wireless communications to further simplify and ease fixture configuration. The advantage of the NFC interface is that fixtures can be configured without the need to power them on. Even when fixtures are still sitting inside their flightcase, a simple tap with the smartphone against the fixture’s display is all that’s needed to configure fixtures.
Version 1.0.0 of Companion Mobile brings four key features with additional features planned for future releases. These include the Fixture Configure tool for easily changing fixture settings, the Fixture Check tool for quick fixture diagnosis, the Fixture Action tool for starting simple fixture actions, and GDTF View & Export for browsing of Martin-made GDTF files to look up fixture details.
Companion Mobile synchronizes with Martin’s library over the Internet, eliminating the need for manual downloads. Additionally, it automatically synchronizes with the Martin-made GDTF files on the GDTF share. This provides access to all fixture details such as DMX Modes, DMX Channel Listings, Gobo Loadouts and more. GDTF files can be exported directly from Companion for use with any GDTF-compatible software.
Also check out Companion Desktop, which offers some of the same features for computers running Windows.
VDO Sceptron XB
The VDO Sceptron XB is a compact, high-performance LED pixel-batten, designed for both lighting and creative video applications. Building on the legacy of the Martin VDO Sceptron family, it inherits all of its benefits such as user-friendly mapping through Martin’s P3 System Controller, the ability to exchange diffusers and lenses, and a wide range of available rigging accessories.
The VDO Sceptron XB raises the bar with significantly boosted lumen output, enhanced cabling freedom, and the ability to be controlled as a lighting fixture via Art-Net and sACN, and as a creative video element via P3, or both simultaneously.
Compact and lightweight, VDO Sceptron XB delivers more than triple the output of the popular VDO Sceptron 10. The use of RGBW LEDs results in a better spectrum (CRI, TM-30, TLCI), compared to traditional RGB pixel-battens, making it ideal for precision illumination of people and set décor. The enhanced control options make this fixture easy to deploy, with or without a P3 System Controller.
Its Extended Gamut calibration ensures consistent performance on whites, offering color temperature and tint control, while saturated colors remain rich and deep. The P3 Mix channel further enhances its versatility, enabling smooth transitions between video and light control.
Additional features include a wide range of built-in effects macros, a stand-alone mode for applications without a Controller, and a full suite of optical and rigging accessories, enabling designers to utilize the series for a variety of uses and mounting configurations. VDO Sceptron XB’s IP65 rating expands its design capabilities, making it perfect for a variety of indoor and temporary outdoor applications and its integrated hibernation mode increases energy efficiency by reducing power consumption when not in use.
With best-in-class performance, unmatched versatility, and a future-proof design, VDO Sceptron XB is ideal for lighting designers, rental customers, and installation professionals. It sets a new standard for powerful, flexible lighting and creative video applications.

Macula
Martin Macula is a remote follow spot system, used to make standard moving lights follow performers and/or objects on stage. It redefines precision follow spot operation and eliminates rigging limitations, operator fatigue, and safety issues traditionally associated with conventional systems. Engineered for absolute smoothness, pinpoint accuracy, and superior ergonomics, it represents a fundamental shift in how moving lights are transformed into high-performance tracking instruments for performers and objects on stage.
From a single base station, Martin Macula can control multiple moving lights with uncompromised responsiveness. The base station delivers a real-time operational perspective that places the operator virtually at the fixture, providing a visual reference “as if positioned next to the moving light itself.” Configuration and setup are deliberately streamlined, allowing efficient operation with minimal training while maintaining professional-grade performance standards. Movement control can be dynamically assigned, with operation handled by a standard lighting console during selected segments of the show and seamlessly transferred to the Macula base station for others.
Additional parameters such as Dimming, Colors, and Frost can also be managed by the Macula base station when required. Presets and Fixture Banks can be created to modify system behavior dynamically throughout the show, delivering a high level of customizability. A single Macula base station is capable of controlling one or multiple moving lights, enabling a performer to be tracked simultaneously by one or several fixtures with consistent accuracy.
Macula works extremely well with the Martin MAC Ultra Performance, MAC Viper XIP and MAC Encore Two fixtures, which have been optimized for smooth and responsive movement. But, Macula is fully brand-agnostic, allowing any suitable moving head fixture to be used as a follow spot and fitted with a camera. Network infrastructure is intentionally simplified, with camera feeds and control data running over a single network and no dedicated video cabling required between fixtures and the base station.
The system also supports PosiStageNet output, allowing XYZ position data for performers or objects to be shared with third-party applications, opening integration opportunities for advanced tracking and automation workflows.
Martin Macula delivers unprecedented control directly at the operator’s fingertips, significantly improving health, safety, and operational consistency. It unlocks new operational and creative possibilities for rental companies, lighting technicians, and lighting designers.
Mac Encore Two
MAC Encore Two from Martin Professional redefines performance lighting for contemporary stage, broadcast, and touring environments. More than just a fixture, it’s a storyteller—breathing life into every scene, gesture, and emotion. Whether illuminating the subtle contours of a performer’s face or painting a set with true to life color, MAC Encore Two captures skin tones and scenic detail with breathtaking realism, making it an essential fixture when every nuance matters.
As a single, fully featured evolution of the Martin MAC Encore lineup, MAC Encore Two maximizes ROI and streamlines inventory management for installed and rental applications alike. It features a proprietary 760 W LED white light engine, producing 21,000 lumens—a 75% increase over its predecessor. This translates to advanced optical performance and a beautifully rich 5,600 K neutral white output.
Despite its remarkable output, MAC Encore Two is quieter than MAC Encore, making it ideal for noise sensitive theater, broadcast, and corporate environments. Selectable output levels with noise optimization ensure performance can be tailored to demanding acoustic conditions.
Native CRI, TM-30, and TLCI of 90 (boosted to 95 with Spectrum Enhancement Filter)—MAC Encore Two’s enhanced CMY system produces saturated colors with superior depth, especially in amber and yellow, while maintaining pure white on the blackbody curve.
The 1:10 zoom system (5°–54°) and 150 mm front lens deliver up to six times the intensity of MAC Encore at its narrowest beam, making MAC Encore Two a perfect choice for long throw applications. High lumen maintenance, razor sharp optics, and precise gobo framing ensure consistent, high definition projection.
MAC Encore Two includes two gobo wheels (7 rotating and 11 static) plus a dual frost system available throughout the zoom range. Highly responsive and smooth pan/tilt movement and high resolution, low level dimming make it ideal as a key light or automated followspot. Despite its expanded capabilities, MAC Encore Two’s 36 kg footprint integrates easily into existing rigs, offering a best in class weight to size to output ratio. An array of control options includes DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and Martin P3.
Whether the moment calls for powerful lumen output, precision color rendering, or whisper quiet operation, MAC Encore Two doesn’t just light the stage—it elevates the story, helping creators shape atmosphere, emotion, and unforgettable experiences.
